For a better knowledge of civil society organisations

This white paper is presented by the French Institute for Civil Society Organisations, in cooperation with the Maecenata Foundation and the Institute for Social Research.

This white paper aims to work for a better acknowledgment of civil society organisations (CSOs) – private initiatives

from citizens of collective engagement in instituted organisations or informal movements – contribution to society 3 and democracy, to foster European CSOs capacity building through research, and to bring awareness of the wide range of CSOs research topics and of knowledge gaps.

Its ambition is to close the gap between research institutions, CSOs and their public and private stakeholders.
